Bring “Enjoy More The Unexpected” to ITB Asia Singapore 2025: Proving Jakarta as a Global MICE and Global Leisure

The Provincial Government of DKI Jakarta, through the Jakarta Tourism and Creative Economy Department, is reaffirming its position on the global tourism map by participating in the prestigious Internationale Tourismus-Börse (ITB) Asia Singapore 2025, held at Sands Expo & Convention Centre from October 15 to 17, 2025.

This participation marks a strategic step to boost traveler interest, particularly from the highly potential Asian market.

Carrying the main tagline “Enjoy More The Unexpected of Jakarta,” the capital city’s delegation aims to showcase tangible proof that Jakarta is a competent and ready host for international-scale events. The tagline underscores Jakarta’s promise to deliver delightful surprises beyond the expectations of an ordinary metropolitan city—especially in the MICE (Meeting, Incentive, Convention, Exhibition) sector.

“Jakarta boasts world-class infrastructure and facilities, making it fully capable of hosting international MICE events. This is a crucial part of our effort to solidify Jakarta’s position as a Global City,” said Andhika Permata, Head of the Jakarta Tourism and Creative Economy Department, on Friday (October 17).

Leading the delegation, Helma Dahlia, Secretary of the Jakarta Tourism and Creative Economy Department, also highlighted the importance of regional collaboration.

“Our participation in ITB Asia is strengthened through active synergy with the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy of Indonesia and the Embassy of the Republic of Indonesia (KBRI) in Singapore. We are exploring potential collaborations in tourism and creative economy programs between cities to ensure that Jakarta and Singapore can grow together as key drivers of regional tourism,” emphasized Helma Dahlia.

Jakarta is not merely promoting convention services. By bringing together 19 key tourism industry players—including five-star hotels (such as JS Luwansa Hotel and Convention Center, Mandarin Oriental Jakarta, The St. Regis Jakarta, Swiss-Belhotel International, Doubletree By Hilton Jakarta – Diponegoro, PT. Artotel Gelora Senayan Jakarta, Hotel Pullman Jakarta Central Park, Sheraton Grand Jakarta Gandaria City, and Hotel Grandhika Iskandarsyah Jakarta), a regional tourism BUMD (Jakarta Experience Board), leading DMCs/Tour Operators/Travel Agents (including Gabriel Tours & Travel, Nusa Ina Leisure Indonesia Specialist, Marintur Indonesia, PT Dwidaya Wisata Indonesia, PT Jelajah Wisata Digital, and Universal Tour & Travel), as well as top destinations (Jakarta Aquarium Safari, Taman Mini Indonesia Indah, and PIK Tourism Board)—Jakarta positions itself as a “One-Stop Destination” full of surprises.

“We offer a comprehensive travel experience. Jakarta presents a wide range of dynamic attractions for both business travelers and leisure visitors, making their trips more than just about meetings—truly allowing them to ‘Enjoy More The Unexpected of Jakarta,’” added Andhika.

The strong collaboration between the Jakarta Provincial Government, the tourism industry, and diplomatic representatives reinforces the message that Jakarta is ready to welcome the world with world-class facilities and unforgettable experiences.
