Dance Battle at Tianmen! Over a Thousand Dancers Gather for the 2025 Zhangjiajie International Hip – Hop Week

On September 15th, the opening ceremony of the 2025 Hunan International Cultural Tourism Festival and the “Dance for Zhangjiajie” 2025 Zhangjiajie International Hip – Hop Week Peak Night (hereinafter referred to as the “Peak Night”) was held at the square in front of Tianmen Cave of Tianmen Mountain in Zhangjiajie.

This event deeply integrates hip – hop art with cultural and tourism landmarks. Top dancers from nearly 20 countries and regions gathered among the fantastic peaks and beautiful waters. With hip – hop as a medium, they launched a cultural exchange feast that transcends mountains and seas. After three days of fierce competition among more than a thousand contestants, the top four teams/players in each event finally stepped onto the stage of the Peak Night.

At the Peak Night venue, various finals, performances by international judges and guests, and group dances were staged in turn. After intense competition, the Chinese Youth Team and the Chinese Juvenile Team took both the champion and runner – up titles in the international team 4V4 dance battle. Cui Shengyu won the championship of the breaking battle, Dykens claimed the title of the hip – hop battle, and the combination of Dykens & Ines secured the championship of the unlimited style 2V2 dance battle. In the group dance category, the Talent Juvenile Troupe won the championship with their work “We Are the Future”.

International hip – hop masters such as Tony Gogo and Henry Link, as well as top dancers including Huang Jingxing, Han Yu, Yang Kai, and Li Chunlin, took to the stage to give performance shows. Styles like locking, breaking, popping, and choreography were staged one after another, featuring both extreme strength and skills, as well as interesting and interactive relaxed expressions. The on – site atmosphere was extremely enthusiastic.

At the event site, the “Huaxia Hip – Hop · Great Power Youth” National Youth Hip – Hop Aesthetic Education Program was also launched. This program aims to guide young people to feel the charm of art and enhance cultural confidence through rhythms and dance steps by leveraging hip – hop, an art form deeply loved by teenagers. It also promotes the in – depth integration of aesthetic education and the all – round development of young people.

During the five – day Zhangjiajie International Hip – Hop Week, a variety of wonderful themed activities were held, including hip – hop flash mobs, international master open classes, hip – hop conferences, and international youth exchange events. Top dancers from around the world competed on the same stage, presenting an audio – visual feast that combines diverse cultures and youthful vitality.
